Consultation/Work Session
This involves walking through the home with the homeowner and using a detailed checklist. We’ll work together to note what needs to happen in each room.  The beauty of this service is that, in a short time,  changes are made to jump start the process.  For example, if furniture needs to be re-arranged, we’ll tackle it right then.  When the session is over, the homeowner will have the list showing exactly what should be done to get ready to sell.  This works extremely well for the homeowner who has some time and a do-it-yourself aptitude.

A bid can be prepared for Hands-On Staging, if the homeowner wishes. Beyond the homeowner cleaning and decluttering, Carolina Home Staging handles the rest!

Hands-On Staging
A hands-on staging will generally involve some up-front preparation on the part of the homeowner.  The two most important steps prior to selling are CLEANING and DECLUTTERING. For instance, a garage sale or a trip to a charity drop-off location will help to clear out unwanted items before you stage and sell your home. Also, it is helpful to have an area (basement, secondary bedroom, or POD-type storage container) where unneeded items may be placed during the staging process.

Cleaning is a major priority! Your home should sparkle when it’s being marketed, from the light fixtures to the floors, inside and out.  Don’t forget the windows that let in all that natural light.

During hands-on staging, we’ll take away what isn’t needed, move around what can be used somewhere else, accessorize using what you have, with the goal of showcasing the house itself.  When buyers enter the door, they will be drawn in to see more.

The cost will always depend on the extent of the work needed, whether or not help will be needed, props brought in, etc.

Vacant and Partial Staging
For unoccupied homes, an estimate will be prepared noting furniture/accessory items required for partial or full home staging (usually a 2 month minimum rental charge), delivery charge, plus the staging fee (this covers travel, preview, photos, furniture/accessory selection, set up and take down). 

Organizing
Need help unpacking when you get moved?  We can organize your kitchen, your closets, your garage shelves, whatever is needed.  An hourly rate can be applied, depending on the scope of work.
